Bridging the gap between concert music and folk traditions, American composer and vocalist Annika K. Socolofsky (b. 1990, Edinburgh, Scotland) finds her musical roots across many cultures. Her music stems from the timbral nuance and variation of the human voice, and is communicated through mediums ranging from orchestral works to unaccompanied folk ballads. Annika resides in Ann Arbor, Michigan where she is working on her first album, Trespass, to be released in 2015.
