Her music is published by Theodore Presser, performed, and recorded worldwide. A member of the American Academy of Arts and Letter, and the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, she holds BA and MA from Beijing Central Conservatory of Music, and DMA from Columbia University in the City of New York. Major composition teachers were Professors Wu Zu-qiang, Chou Wen-chung and Mario Davidovsky. \*Chen is family name. Yi is personal name.
